Times Square is illuminated

by the dreams and success of others.

In the darkness,

she shines brighter.

her LED gaze caresses me,

her lively grin lures travellers from all around.

You know you’ve made it,

if you know Times Square.

I hate Times Square.

No matter who I’m with there,

The facade does not faze me.

Times Square is where I feel the most lonely.

Nobody cares who you are,

amongst the lights

there is nothing remarkable about who you are.

Times Square is where I feel the most lonely.

Times Square is where I feel the most useless.

Times Square is where I remember I’m nobody.

Times Square is where I remember my worth.

I hate Times Square.
